La porte de Jill a \u00e9t\u00e9 un projet long mais satisfaisant pour David Keys de Londonderry. Le bois de cette porte se trouvait \u00e0 l’origine dans le plafond de l’usine Old Bleach Linen Company \u00e0 Randalstown, en Irlande du Nord. Non seulement le bois avait sa merveilleuse histoire, mais il s’agissait \u00e9galement d’un vieux pin de tr\u00e8s bonne qualit\u00e9, avec des cernes de croissance merveilleusement serr\u00e9s, semblables \u00e0 ceux d’un disque vinyle. <\/p>\n

Les \u00e9l\u00e9ments du cadre et la porte ont tous \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9s en trois couches afin d’\u00e9viter toute d\u00e9formation ou mouvement ult\u00e9rieur. Il a fallu un certain temps pour comprendre comment r\u00e9aliser le cercle de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce qu’il s’ins\u00e8re dans la moiti\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure de la porte. <\/p>\n

Le cercle a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour attirer votre regard \u00e0 travers la porte vers la zone de divertissement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00ab Jill voulait une finition traditionnelle sur le portail, nous avons donc utilis\u00e9 de la peinture \u00e0 l’huile de lin de Brouns & Co. C’\u00e9tait vraiment agr\u00e9able \u00e0 utiliser, l’atelier sentait incroyablement bon. La peinture \u00e0 l’huile de lin est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9sistante et durera des d\u00e9cennies sans beaucoup d’entretien, voire aucun. \u00bb<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Il ne reste plus que quelques finitions \u00e0 apporter \u00e0 la porte, un merveilleux exemple de l’utilisation de mat\u00e9riaux r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s et naturels.
