a conduit \u00e0 une augmentation massive de l&#8217;utilisation du b\u00e9ton, de l&#8217;acier, du verre et des plastiques. L&#8217;exc\u00e9dent d&#8217;acryliques et de latex, sous-produits du raffinage du p\u00e9trole brut, a aliment\u00e9 la demande de plastiques bon march\u00e9. Cet \u00e9tat d&#8217;esprit persiste aujourd&#8217;hui dans une grande partie de l&#8217;industrie du b\u00e2timent. Cependant, il est largement reconnu que les plastiques sont nocifs pour notre plan\u00e8te, non seulement en raison des d\u00e9chets, mais aussi en raison de leurs processus de production. La plupart des peintures conventionnelles des grandes marques sont essentiellement les m\u00eames : des colorants synth\u00e9tiques m\u00e9lang\u00e9s \u00e0 des acryliques ou du latex. En revanche, nos peintures sont enti\u00e8rement exemptes de plastiques, de phtalates et de microbilles. Les nouvelles r\u00e9glementations internationales imposent que la peinture contienne moins de 0,5 % de COV. Cependant, les grandes marques utilisent encore des quantit\u00e9s importantes de produits chimiques.  <\/p>\n<p>Leur changement r\u00e9cent de nom pour les appeler peintures \u00ab \u00e0 base d\u2019eau \u00bb, sous-entendant que l\u2019eau les rend naturelles ou saines, n\u2019est qu\u2019une forme de greenwashing. Pour r\u00e9duire les COV, ces peintures n\u00e9cessitent l\u2019ajout de divers produits chimiques (stabilisants, \u00e9mulsifiants chimiques, anticoagulants et phtalates) pour conserver leur fonctionnalit\u00e9. Par cons\u00e9quent, ces nouvelles peintures sont l\u00e9g\u00e8rement ou pas plus saines que leurs pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs. Par exemple, le b\u00e9ton poss\u00e8de l\u2019une des \u00e9nergies intrins\u00e8ques les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es. Les peintures traditionnelles ont \u00e9galement une \u00e9nergie intrins\u00e8que \u00e9lev\u00e9e en raison de leur base (acrylique et latex) et de leurs colorants d\u00e9riv\u00e9s du p\u00e9trole brut. En revanche, l\u2019huile de lin est obtenue par pressage \u00e0 froid des graines de lin, ce qui ne n\u00e9cessite ni chaleur ni raffinerie, ce qui fait que notre peinture a une fraction de l\u2019\u00e9nergie intrins\u00e8que des peintures conventionnelles. Nos pigments, principalement de la terre crue, sont extraits \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du jour. Les pigments et les huiles sont broy\u00e9s en p\u00e2te \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un broyeur \u00e0 trois rouleaux, une machine \u00e0 faible consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Par cons\u00e9quent, la majeure partie de l\u2019\u00e9nergie intrins\u00e8que de notre peinture \u00e0 l\u2019huile de lin provient du transport et de l\u2019emballage, deux domaines que nous nous effor\u00e7ons continuellement d\u2019am\u00e9liorer.      <\/p>\n<p>Nous utilisons principalement du carton recyclable et recycl\u00e9 pour l&#8217;emballage et emballons \u00e0 la source \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;un grand broyeur de carton. Nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 notre magasin aux \u00c9tats-Unis afin de pouvoir rapprocher les produits de vous et de r\u00e9duire les exp\u00e9ditions par fret a\u00e9rien.
