On nous demande souvent s’il existe une temp\u00e9rature minimale pour peindre avec de la peinture \u00e0 l’huile de lin pour ext\u00e9rieur. En th\u00e9orie, il n’y a pas de temp\u00e9rature minimale, les principaux facteurs qui emp\u00eachent de peindre sont l’humidit\u00e9, l’humidit\u00e9 dans le bois (ou sur la surface que vous peignez) et les rayons UV. Les meilleures conditions pour peindre sont lorsque l’humidit\u00e9 est faible, que le bois est sec et qu’il n’y a pas de ros\u00e9e sur la surface que vous peignez, ainsi qu’une bonne lumi\u00e8re UV (soleil) n\u00e9cessaire pour s\u00e9cher et durcir compl\u00e8tement la peinture. <\/p>\n

Les mois d’automne et d’hiver ne sont pas la meilleure p\u00e9riode de l’ann\u00e9e pour peindre, car les jours sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plus courts, plus froids et il y a plus d’humidit\u00e9 dans l’air et sur ou dans les surfaces que vous peignez. Cependant, vous pouvez vous trouver dans un endroit o\u00f9, m\u00eame si la temp\u00e9rature est basse, l’humidit\u00e9 est \u00e9galement faible avec peu de ros\u00e9e et la lumi\u00e8re UV est bonne, auquel cas vous devriez pouvoir peindre, mais les temps de s\u00e9chage seront plus longs que la normale. Un autre sc\u00e9nario est celui o\u00f9 vous peignez \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur o\u00f9 la temp\u00e9rature est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, l’air est sec et la surface de ce que vous peignez est s\u00e8che, mais il y a un manque de lumi\u00e8re UV – l\u00e0 encore, vous pouvez peindre, mais cela prendra beaucoup plus de temps pour s\u00e9cher et durcir compl\u00e8tement. <\/p>\n

Mais tout n\u2019est pas perdu. Si vous pouvez appliquer la couche d\u2019appr\u00eat, elle prot\u00e9gera le bois ext\u00e9rieur jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que le temps s\u2019am\u00e9liore au printemps, lorsque vous pourrez appliquer d\u2019autres couches.
