Ein Londoner Anwesen, in dem Vincent Van Gogh von 1873 bis 1874 lebte, ist mithilfe der nat\u00fcrlichen Leinsamenprodukte von Brouns & Co zu neuem Glanz erwacht. In einem aufwendigen Renovierungsprojekt wurde das ehemals verfallene Haus in Stockwell im S\u00fcdwesten Londons von der Familie Wang, die das Geb\u00e4ude 2012 in einem bauf\u00e4lligen Zustand erwarb, in ein kulturelles Wahrzeichen und einen Ausstellungsort f\u00fcr aufstrebende K\u00fcnstler umgewandelt. Leinsamenfarbe von Brouns & Co sowie seine Leinsamenwachs- und Leinsamen\u00f6lprodukte waren f\u00fcr die Renovierung des Geb\u00e4udes von entscheidender Bedeutung, bei der traditionelle Materialien verwendet wurden, um das Geb\u00e4ude zu erhalten und gleichzeitig einen inspirierenden Ort f\u00fcr moderne K\u00fcnstler zu schaffen. Michiel Brouns, Gr\u00fcnder von Brouns & Co, sagte: \u201eLein\u00f6lfarbe ist eine jahrhundertealte L\u00f6sung zum Schutz von Holz, die jedoch mit dem Aufkommen kunststoffbasierter Beschichtungen in den 1950er Jahren in Ungnade fiel. Unsere Lein\u00f6lfarbe \u00e4hnelt traditionellen, jahrhundertealten Farben so sehr, dass sie fast identisch mit dem Produkt ist, das Van Gogh f\u00fcr seine Gem\u00e4lde verwendete. Sie ist lediglich verd\u00fcnnt, sodass sie auf Holz verwendet werden kann.\u201c<\/p>\n

Michiel f\u00fcgte hinzu: \u201eW\u00e4hrend moderne Farben mit der Zeit rei\u00dfen und abbl\u00e4ttern, wodurch Wasser eindringen kann und das Holz Feuchtigkeit und F\u00e4ulnis ausgesetzt wird, passiert dies bei Lein\u00f6lfarbe, die sowohl saugf\u00e4hig als auch nat\u00fcrlich ist, nicht.
